Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Caregiver to join our assisted living family. In this role, you will provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents. We aim to have a ratio of one resident to four caregivers for each of our facilities. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our team to deliver exceptional care.
PLEASE NOTE: This job requires you to live/work at the facility for 2 weeks consecutively and get 2-3 days off. The salary is negotiable based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for residents.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant is not required but is highly preferred.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of senior care principles and practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Located within Texas or are planning to move there before official hiring.
